My Working Experience

PRESENT ACTIVITY:

THE MAHARASHTRA STATE ANTI TB ASSOCIATION. The Association has as its mission the prevention and control of tuberculosis and lung disease, as well as related health problems including HIV / AIDS, in the State of Maharashtra.

EXPERIENCE:

INTERAIDE DEVELOPMENT INDIA. It is running Urban DOTS Project in Mumbai supported by Central TB Department, Interaide – France and WHO. It is collaborating with 7 NGOs in Mumbai to spread awareness and help TB patients through developing easy access to health care facilities.


UNIVERSAL CARE INITIATIVE FOR TUBERCULOSIS CONTROL. This Project is implementing the Public Private Mix Project (PPM) involving private medical practitioners in the Revised National Tuberculosis Control Program supported by WHO and Inter Aid, France

JUHU TOGETHER. It is working for the development of the Juhu Slum Community, Mumbai, Maharashtra.

RED CRESCENT SOCIETY OF INDIA. It organizes various health camps like hepatitis vaccination, immunization etc. It also works towards disaster management.

YUVA CHILDLINE

SOCIAL SERVICE CENTER. It is working for slum children’s education and health at H West ward.

SAMARTHAN. It is an Advocacy Organization working for the Education, Health, Youth and various other social issues by spreading awareness about the magnitude of the problems.

VIDHAYAK SANSAD AND SHRAMAJIVI SANGHATANA. This is an NGO and Trust working for the development of the rural communities and escaping bonded laboures at Thane District.

DOOR STEP SCHOOL. It is working for pavement dweller's, dockworker's and slum children’s education and health at A and B ward in 11 communities.

AS A RESOURCE PERSON: (Conducted Training sessions, seminars, workshops etc.)
Hamara Club, Nirmala Niketan, Social Service League, Childline India Foundation, Akansha Sanghatana (Jogeshwari), YUVA, Prerana Sanghata (Jogeshwari).

OTHER ACTIVITIES

1. Street Play on ‘Aids’, ‘Malaria’, ‘TB’, ‘Communal Harmony’ and other social issues.

2. Salokha, a cell working for communal harmony (Project of Nirmala Niketan). Sang for the cassette “Shanti Ke Geet” – Awareness songs on communal harmony.

3. Writing articles in the newspapers, magazines etc. on social and other issues.

4. Workshops and Camps: Conducts and organizes the workshops on various social issues by tackling resources.

ASSIGNMENTS

Rashtriya Saksharata Mission (1993): Research and Interviews done in Jogeshwari about Child and Adult Education and also awareness for the same.

Participated in Science exhibition and developed project on environment and health issues organized by Aravind Gandbhir High school, Jogeshwari.

Research study on “Problems of ST/ NT students in colleges”: Data Collection.

Orisa Cyclone Relief Work (1999): Disaster management and community conflict resolution. Successfully tested participatory approaches to rural housing for the tribal poor, Rescue, Relief and Rehabilitation of flood affected areas, health and rehabilitation programs in rural communities in Orisa.

· M.S.W. : Masters in Social Work.

· B. S. W. : Bachelor of Social Work.

· HRM : Human Resource Management.

· Journalism : Certificate Course in Mass communication & Journalism.

· Computer : Diploma in System Management and Graphics.

· HIV & AIDS Training Program: “The Primary Health Care in HIV and AIDS” training program from WOCKHARDT : (Year – 2004).
